Am/Can OTCh Sunfire's Precocious Arielle UDX, JH, WC, ODHF
My "Belle"
Arielle was my second competition dog, only months behind Apollo,
so she too, had to endure the beginnings of my learning curve.
As forgiving as the breed should be,
Arielle has always been one to enjoy learning and training
and added a bit of her sense of humor along the way.
She earned many High in Trials (HITs), the Dog World Award from Open A, and
entered the Obedience Hall of Fame.
When I saw freestyle for the first time,
I knew that Arielle was going to be my dog to break us into the fun of
learning that newest sport.
Her silly and perky nature gave way to upbeat performances
and continual choreography changes on me during presentations.
Many times she came up with the best ideas!
Her calling card for her grande finale has been to take a
flying leap into my arms...
where I would catch her and she gave me big kisses in return.
At the age of 10, completed her Obedience Trial Championship (OTCH) with as
much fun and enthusiasm as any 4 year old and also winning High Combined and
High In Trial! Just like her freestyle demonstrations, she finished her
highest obedience title with a bang as well!
Arielle was taken from me after a short illness, on June 10th, 2003. She
died in her sleep in the early morning hours, but typical of her wonderfully
loving nature, she was the one washing away my tears the evening before as
we lay together on the bed. I knew our time together was short, but as long
as she was not in pain and enjoying life, I would make the most of it with
her.
She has touched so many
lives, and lives forever in our hearts and memories.
Good bye, my love, and wait for me and your other 'golden' buddies
at the Rainbow Bridge. I know you are running through fields with your tail
held high, chasing birds, and still watching over us all. |
